Abstract
Diffuse pollution is a matter of concern in several
UK counties and many approaches are currently used
to monitor and describe this kind of pollution. The
surface transport of sediments and diffuse agricultural
pollutants is governed by the runoff process. Hence,
accurate modelling of such process is fundamental
to assess the watershed impact on the environment.
The aim of this work is to develop a more detailed
land use dataset for a selected English catchment .
This will be undertaken particularly in relation to
agricultural practices as it is shown to be one of
the main limiting factors in the development of accurate
models of sediment transport. |
