The Sulawesi Earthquake and Tsunami Seen by the DMC Constellation

On 28th September 2018, a 7.5 magnitude earthquake occurred near the central Indonesian Island of Sulawesi. The Earthquake triggered a tsunami.

Relief efforts are assisting in the evacuation of survivors and delivering food and water, but damaged powerlines and impassable roads are hampering relief efforts.

Italy’s Devastating 6.2 Magnitude Earthquake

The 6.2 magnitude quake struck around 01:36 GMT, 100km northeast of Rome.

Three quarters of the historic town of Amatrice has been destroyed, with similar stories across various towns such as Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto. The current death toll is 241 but this could increase due to the number of people believed to still be trapped and buried under the rubble.

Nepal: A Year After The 7.8 Magnitude Earthquake Struck.

On the 25th April 2015 a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal at 11.56 (Nepal Standard time).
